Igniting Our Heartspark
Finding Radical Hope in Times of Uncertainty
Where do we find Spaces for Joy when our world is struggling? Some may turn to Water and Trees, Friends, or Art.
We live in a time of uncertainty and struggle. Many feel despair and hopelessness at depths of trauma and violence in our Shared World. Our nervous systems are more frequently activated into survival modes.
At the same time, many are inspired by people taking action together. Minneapolis and its people have been nominated for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, for acts of courage, peaceful protest, mutual aid, and efforts to uphold human rights and democracy. A group of monks walked 2300 miles for peace this winter.
Join us for a day in Community, Igniting our HeartSpark together. Fyre Jean Graveline, Lynn Fraser, and GrandMothers and Collaborators with LIFE as Medicine will lead us through a day of Opening to our HeartSpark through Guided Somatic Practices and Arting our Joy.
After sharing a lovely meal, we Deepen into Compassion. What opens our Hearts to ourselves, to our Relatives, and to Pains of our Shared World? Birchbark we hold while meditating on what causes our Hearts to harden will be burnt as we move into a practice of Smoke Art.
What is sparking in your heart?
