Friends With Your Mind Is Now Available
Revised and Expanded 2026
Welcome! I am delighted to announce the publication of the revised and expanded edition of my book Friends With Your Mind: How To Stop Torturing Yourself With Your Thoughts.
Book and Guided Audio Companion
Friends With Your Mind explores how our mind and nervous system work together. When our nervous system becomes activated, our mind often fills with worry, self criticism, and catastrophic thinking.
This book offers a compassionate and practical path toward greater ease, helping you understand your thoughts while developing practices that support nervous system regulation and emotional resilience.
If you prefer to learn by listening, the guided audio practices included here make it easy to experience the teachings in daily life.
This bundle includes:
• The complete Friends With Your Mind book in PDF format
• Audio teachings and guided practices from Section One: BefriendingYour Mind
• Immediate access after purchase
Many readers enjoy reading a chapter and then listening to the corresponding reflection or practice.
The audio companion allows you to simply listen and experience the practices without needing to read instructions.
Join me live! Let’s go through the book together.

Try a Practice from the Book
Before purchasing, you may wish to experience one of the practices from Friends With Your Mind.
This short guided reflection introduces the approach used throughout the book. The practices invite you to listen to your body, your mind, and your nervous system with curiosity and compassion.

Chapter 4 explores how thoughts arise as words and images and how they interact with your nervous system and stored memories. Because your nervous system is wired to detect danger, fearful or catastrophic thoughts can appear when your body senses threat. Through somatic mindfulness practices, you can learn to witness thoughts rather than becoming absorbed in them. As your nervous system settles, the link between thoughts and bodily activation softens, allowing greater clarity, steadiness, and compassion.
