In this free experiential workshop you’ll learn about how practicing somatic mindfulness can help you regulate your emotions to reduce anxiety and depression.
Healing Ordinary Trauma Through a Strong, Resilient Nervous System
When we feel unsafe, our nervous systems can activate survival responses such as fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Our bodies store traumatic memories as sensations and energy, which get expressed as compulsive, negative thoughts. In this experiential workshop, you’ll learn how to lower these hypervigi- lant responses to perceived danger and the anxiety that accompanies them. Some of the tools I’ll share to help you self-regulate include grounding with cyclic sighing and a 5-4-3-2-1 senses practice. These forms of somatic mindfulness allow you to build a stronger, more resilient nervous system, so you can improve your mental health and enjoy your life.
