Yoga Nidra 7 Day Practice Challenge

Yoga nidra is the only known way to rest the unconscious mind. It is a state of conscious sleep in which a person is both alert and deeply relaxed on a physical, nervous system, mental and emotional level. For thousands of years, meditation masters have used the methods of sleepless sleep (yoga nidra) to learn the secrets of the Self, to discover depths of sciences and arts, and to rejuvenate and heal themselves.

Join us 8AM Eastern for 7 days of yoga nidra practice

Practices conducive to entering the deep brainwave state of yoga nidra

Saturday 25th: Our usual Breathe Shake Dance Saturday practice then flowing into yoga nidra practice resting into stillness in the heart chakra

Sunday 26th: Blue star Field of Stillness is a beautiful practice where we connect the 61 marma points where the physical body connects with our subtle energy body.

Monday 27th: Unifying the 5 koshas (layers or sheaths) - we move from the most dense, our physical body, through the layer of energy/breath, lower mind, wisdom/ intuition and bliss layer then into stillness

Tuesday 28th: Sweeping breath with awareness flowing from head to toes then through the chakras then into the stillness of yoga nidra in the heart center

Wednesday 29th: Meditation on a still lake in the moonlight where we leave behind the thoughts / waves on the surface of the lake and follow the vibration of the mantra soham into deep stillness

Thursday 30th: In the cave of the heart, we meditate with the brilliant white light radiating from the core of our heart chakra

Friday December 1: We connect with our body and breath then go directly into witnessing awareness in the heart center as we rest in the deep brainwave state of yoga nidra

Join us Saturday December 2: 12 hour online silence retreat. Details here.

Our consciousness during yoga nidra functions at a deep level which increases the capacity of our mind. In this state, we improve our power of focus, connect with our higher Self, and increase well being. It becomes easier to access our intuition to make decisions, find answers to philosophical questions, learn, and to maintain a positive state of mind. Reducing stress through yoga nidra supports and improves physical and mental health.

In yoga nidra, we reach delta waves of deep non-REM sleep while simultaneously remaining fully conscious. We discover how to get the deep rest we need each day while reducing our need for sleep. The quality of rest we experience in yoga nidra is completely different from ordinary sleep.
